The „Sophiensaele"is a theatre production space for creative professionals in Germany.

Workshop in Berlin
//:13.05-03.06.2008

The starting point is the specific analysis of the "Sophiensaele" in Berlin.
Using locally available materials and objects found on-site, a sculpture will be designed and built which displays the constant transformation of materials.
Consequently the site-specific installation aims to provoke a dynamic interaction between public and the theatrical character of the site.

Billboard

The process of production by the French artist Stefan Shankland and students of Architecture and Stage Design_Performance at TU Berlin under direction of Prof. Kerstin Laube is an integral part of the interaction. The public is invited to view the construction phases of the billboard and follow its transformation from mundane materials into art.

Opening

June 5th; 06pm at "Sophiensaele";Sophienstraße 18, 10178 Berlin
